The death toll from flooding in the Kuban rises to four people

In the Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory, they found the body of a girl who died in a flood. Thus, the death toll as a result of the collapsed disaster increased to four people. Earlier it was reported about the death of a local woman with a child, as well as a local resident who could not move independently.

“The body of the girl was found, this is the fourth victim”, - the regional prosecutor’s office told Interfax.

After the death of people, the regional Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - causing death by negligence.

It's worth that heavy rains hit the region on July 4. For two days, a two-month rainfall fell. The rivers overflowed their banks. An emergency regime was introduced in six districts. Landslides have descended on federal highways M-4 "Don" and "Dzhubga - Sochi". The movement has been restored to date.

In the region, about 290 residential buildings and 500 household plots are flooded. Rescuers have already evacuated 136 people, including 44 people removed from the roofs of houses. Due to the announced storm warning in the region, the beaches remain closed for swimming.
