Flights were canceled in Yakutia due to the fires

On the morning of August 16, visibility at the Yakutsk airport did not exceed 400 meters. The fog also complicated the situation. The aircraft were not received and dispatched, the delay affected 30 flights. The crossing on the Lena River was also temporarily stopped.

Some of the planes flying to the Yakut capital landed in Khabarovsk and Polyarny. The airport went to work according to the actual weather by 12:30, when the visibility did not exceed half a kilometer. We managed to send three aircraft.

As for the movement along the Lena, it was restored by the caravan method. Note that the maximum permissible concentration of harmful substances in the morning was exceeded by six indicators.

Let us recall that the emergency situation would have been introduced at the interregional level due to the situation with forest fires in Yakutia. The fire has already begun to drown the permafrost, and an increased amount of carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere, which has already led to the formation of abnormal hurricanes and "dry" thunderstorms.
