Security forces detained the owner of the online service for the hiring of killers

According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, the security forces conducted a search in the suspect's safe house, seizing mobile phones, computers and other technical equipment, as well as more than a thousand SIM-cards from various telecom operators. Over 500 bank cards and a large amount of cash fell into the hands of the security forces.

As follows from the operational video, we are talking about hundreds of thousands of rubles, which the security forces lay out on the table in strips of five-thousandth bills - 100 thousand in each row.

The siloviki got on the trail of the suspect during the investigation of the criminal case on the murder in 2020 of a spouse from the Vladimir region, as well as on preparations for the murder of a resident of St. Petersburg.

“Earlier, in this criminal case, the perpetrator of the crime was detained, as well as accomplices who collected personal data, information about the whereabouts of the victims and transferred them to the perpetrator of the murder. They are in custody", - said the representative of the Investigative committee.

The detainees were charged under Part 2 of Art. 105, part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder; illegal arms trafficking).

During the investigation of the cases, the investigators learned that the organization of the killings took place through an online service created in the “shadow” segment of the Internet (“Darknet”).

The owner of the service acted as an intermediary between customers and performers, receiving a percentage for this.

“According to the investigation, he was involved in organizing the murder of two persons, preparing for the murder, acquiring and transferring weapons and ammunition”, - the statement said.

The service was organized using conspiracy measures. The alleged killers' accomplice accepted the payment for his services in cryptocurrency or through electronic wallets registered to dummies.

When the owner of the secret service was identified, they came to him with a search, and the suspect himself was detained. As the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation clarifies, it was possible to detain a resident of Izhevsk with the forceful support of Rosgvardia officers. The investigation believes that the detainee administered the messenger account used to organize the attempted murder.

In the near future, the investigation intends to bring charges against him and petition for his arrest. At the same time, the detainee is being checked for involvement in other contract killings.
