The government will allocate an additional 28.3 billion rubles to help low-income families with children between the ages of three and seven.

The needy families receive this subsidy from the state every month. Its size depends on the family's average per capita income and ranges from 50 to 100% of the regional subsistence minimum for a child. On average, this is 5.5 thousand rubles per month, depending on the region. About 2.7 million children are provided with payments.

This year, 276 billion rubles have already been allocated from the budget for these purposes. "The government's reserve fund will be a source of additional funds", - a statement on the government's website says.

In addition, funding for large families has been increased. Another 5.9 billion rubles were allocated for monthly payments for children under three years of age. A total of 59 billion rubles were allocated in the federal budget for this assistance. 620 thousand large families received support. With the increase in funding, another 48 thousand will be able to count on assistance.
