Kudrin also pointed out that in 2003-2003 "we restored (on average, of course) the standard of living that citizens had in 1990 before the collapse of the USSR".
"On average, this was achieved both for teachers and doctors. The standard of living is now about 20% higher than in the Soviet Union. In the zero years, when I was deputy prime minister, from 2000 to 2011, the standard of living in the country tripled. It seems that this is an unattainable figure, but we started from a very low level", - TASS quotes the words of the head of the joint venture.
Russia has become a country with a normal market economy, according to Kudrin, thanks to the basic institutions created in the 1990s and early 2000s, as well as the adopted key laws.
"Russia has undoubtedly become a normal market economy. In 1989, it would have seemed like a fairy tale. Actually, this is a great success. Such a rapid transformation, such a huge and rapid change”, - said Kudirn.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin last week announced that at the end of the year inflation in the country is expected at 8%. At the same time, the head of state noted that the real incomes of Russians grew by only 3.5%, and clarified that in fact this is an average indicator and that income growth did not affect everyone. The president called increasing the real incomes of people a key task.
Meanwhile, VTsIOM informed that the rise in prices for real estate, food and travel has become one of the main causes of concern for our citizens, yielding first place only to concerns related to the pandemic.
Recall that the experts who participated in the conference on the income of citizens in 2021, which was aired by the Public News Service, made it clear that there are no reasons for the growth of the welfare of Russians, the government is not interested and does nothing in order to solve the problem of poverty in Russia...
Also, 33% of Russians believe that over the next year they and their families will have reason to count on an improvement in the quality of life.
