Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov (pictured) said that it is premature to talk about economic support measures for citizens against the backdrop of the sanctions.

“Wait, well, nothing has happened to us yet. So what happened to us so far? I repeat once again - (it will be decided - editor's note) as problems come up. So far, nothing has happened to you”, - Peskov believes (quote from Radio Mayak).

Meanwhile, it is difficult to deny the tension of the situation at the Central Bank and in the markets. The exchange rates of the dollar and the euro at the auctions of the Moscow exchange reached a historical maximum. According to Novaya Gazeta, the dollar costs 99.9 rubles, the euro - 109.2 rubles. It is also noted that NOVATEK securities fell in price by 54%, Rosneft - by 45.51%, X5 Group - by 36.25%, Surgutneftegaz - by 19%, Evraz - by 18%, Polyus - by 17%, while the receipts of Sberbank and Gazprom fell in price by 75% and 60%, respectively. Earlier today, the Central Bank raised its key rate to 20%. The EU has frozen the reserves of the Russian Central Bank.
