Vučić demands explanation from NATO on Belgrade-Moscow flight incident

- The fighter most of all resembled a gray F-15 or Eurofighter. In the Russian air zone, there was obviously a NATO aircraft that flew only a kilometer below our passenger one. The Russian flight control service correctly informed us that another plane was nearby and they were checking if we could establish visual contact and report what it was ... What should they do with this plane when there are passengers in ours, and it was heading from left to right without threatening ours, 2 thousand feet below, passed from below and disappeared, - Vučić read out on the air of Radio and Television of Serbia the report of the pilots of the national carrier about what had happened.

Official Belgrade will send a request for additional data from both Moscow and NATO.

- Who is this and what kind of fighters threatens civil aviation and passengers on the flight? Or maybe it's an accident, let them say then, we have the exact coordinates where this plane appeared, - said Vučić.

The president shared this information with citizens so that they could understand "the extent of the pressure on the only country that has air links with Russia."

- Do not forget, as they said, that their Ukrainian blood is on our planes. I don’t remember that flights from Kyiv to London, Budapest or Vienna were stopped when NATO bombed Serbia and carried out aggression against our country. But now everything is forbidden to Serbia, no one dares to think with his own head, - the Serbian leader emphasized.

He added that the West is "infinitely dear to him" and he "loves Russia infinitely" but "loves Serbia most of all."

- Let us take care of Serbia, as we have taken care of it until now. This is my request to irresponsible politicians who would cause damage with stupid demonstrations that would only harm Serbia, targeting us in front of the whole West and the whole world for the sake of pathetic political points, Vučić said.

Recall that on April 5, false reports were received about the bombing of the Air Serbia office and the Belgrade airport. At the same time, almost every day there are signals about explosive devices on board Air Serbia on flights from Belgrade to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
