The network hosted the premiere of the Russian series "Chernobyl", dedicated to the propaganda and mythical version of the events of 1986.

On Tuesday, April 19, the Wink video service hosted the premiere of a new domestic 12-episode series "Chernobyl", starring Igor Petrenko and Nadezhda Mikhalkova. According to press releases, it is based on real facts - this is a spy detective story about an exotic version of the events that unfolded in Chernobyl in 1986.

In addition to Petrenko and Mikhalkova, such famous artists as Dmitry Ulyanov, Maria Andreeva, Alexander Ilyin, Vladimir Yumatov, Dmitry Mulyar, Alexander Feklistov and Elena Yakovleva play in the film. Director - Alexey Muradov.

The action takes place between April and December 1986. The Ukrainian department of the KGB of the USSR learns about the interest in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant from foreign intelligence services. To establish the location of the CIA spy Albert Lenz in the forbidden territory, Lieutenant Colonel of the Soviet military counterintelligence Andrei Nikolaev arrives in the city of Pripyat...

There is no doubt that this series was made in defiance of the super-successful American-English mini-series, the authors of which happily avoided conspiracy theories of the disaster by honestly and directly telling what really happened there. In addition, the main motive for the production of this film, of course, was the extreme aggravation of the international situation in connection with the events in Ukraine, and, as a result, the incredible propaganda activity both in Russia and in the West.

Analyst Maxim Kozlovsky writes about this in his blog:

“Domestic cinematographers have released their own version of the Chernobyl series. I won’t talk about the quality of the series, and everything is clear, the main KGB officer of the station is played by “Doctor Lobanov” from the Interns.

But the scriptwriter's interpretation of the events will clearly force even Professor Legasov to turn over in his grave.

A CIA agent, led by the KGB, arrives in Pripyat on April 25 and gives some two cones to a station worker on the night shift. Further on the station explosion.

The description on Kinopoisk is based on real events. Wangyu in the near future in social networks cries about the real American trace of the Chernobyl accident.

On our own behalf, we add that in Tarantino's cult film "Inglourious Basterds" the finale of the film is presented in the genre of alternative history - Hitler was shot from a machine gun by a Zhid-Bear, the entire top of the Reich perishes in an explosion and a fire in a cinema.

So in terms of free interpretations of history, we already have a draw with Hollywood...
