Former soloist of the group "Tender May" Yuri Shatunov died in Moscow at the age of 49.

According to Lenta.ru with reference to the statement of the director of the performer Arkady Kudryashov, the cause of the singer's death was a massive heart attack.

“He died at night in an ambulance", - the report said.

Yuri Shatunov was born in the Bashkir ASSR in 1973.

When the boy was three years old, his parents divorced. Eight years later, the boy's mother died, and he ended up in an orphanage.

There, the future performer met the head of the amateur circle, Sergei Kuznetsov, after which the musical group "Tender May" appeared.

The main hits of the group were "White Roses", "Summer", "Let There Be Night", "Grey Night", "Well, why are you...", "Melting Snow".

The group has become wildly popular, giving 40 concerts a month. Sometimes the musicians had up to eight performances a day. "Tender May" broke up in 1991 after the departure of Yuri Shatunov from the group, who began his solo career.

The singer was educated as a sound engineer, starred in the film "Destroy the Thirtieth". In 2002, Shatunov received the Song of the Year award for the hit "Grey Night".

The singer is survived by his wife and two children.
