The facial recognition system in the Moscow metro helped to detain about 5 thousand people

"Video surveillance system, for example, biometric system "Sphere" (...) it allowed about 5 thousand people to be detained and taken to the police in order for law enforcement agencies to carry out the necessary set of measures with them", - Liksutov said (quoted by Interfax).The official added that thanks to the Sphere, about 200 missing children were also found.

According to the deputy mayor, the crime rate in the metropolitan and suburban railway transport is decreasing annually. This is a consequence of effective measures taken to maintain security and order, Liksutov believes.
