Sberbank has published the results of its work over the past year. According to the report, in 2022, the net profit of the credit institution decreased to 300.2 billion rubles.

As Kommersant notes, in 2021 the company's net profit amounted to 1.237 trillion rubles.

"Since the second half of the year, we have been able to return to the trajectory of profit growth, increased capital and sufficiency, as a result, the profit according to RAS (Russian Accounting Standards) for the year exceeded 300 billion rubles", - German Gref, Chairman of the bank's management Board, commented in the report.

So, in December, the bank's net profit increased to 125.5 billion rubles, which is 40.1% higher than the same month a year ago. Net interest income increased by 19.5% to 176.5 billion rubles. In general, this indicator increased by 5.2% in 2022.

Net commission income in the last month of the year increased by 16.7% and reached 67.5 billion rubles. At the end of the year, this indicator increased by 6.2% to 614.8 billion rubles.

The bank's operating expenses in December decreased by 12% and amounted to 80.6 billion rubles. According to the results of the past year, they decreased by 5%.

In addition, the report says that the bank's retail loan portfolio has grown by 12.9% since the beginning of the year. Mortgages have become the main driver of growth. The issue of mortgage loans in December became a record in the history of the bank. The credit institution has issued 382 billion rubles. By the end of the year, the portfolio of housing loans grew by more than 20% in annual terms and amounted to 7.7 trillion rubles.

Funds of individuals in the bank's accounts increased by 8.2% in December, exceeding 18.3 trillion rubles by the end of the year. The share of foreign currency deposits has almost halved over the past year.
