In the Amur Region, 22 freight train cars derailed on the Jiktanda-Taldan stretch of the Trans-Baikal Railway. Because of this, passenger trains are delayed. According to the Trans-Baikal Railway, the incident happened on Wednesday, January 18, at 1:38 Moscow time.
Trains No. 326 with the Neryungri — Khabarovsk message and No. 1 with the Vladivostok —Moscow message were delayed. Passengers will be provided with additional meals. It is expected that passenger trains No. 2 with the Moscow — Vladivostok connection, No. 325 with the Khabarovsk — Neryungri connection will be delayed.
Recovery trains from Skovorodino and Magdagach stations were sent to the scene of the incident. There is no threat to environmental safety. Recall that at the end of last year on the Kursk direction of the Moscow Railway, there was a failure in the movement of trains on the Stolbovaya-Serpukhov section due to an incident with a snowplow that went on the rails.
At the same time, in the Moscow region, a freight truck and an electric train collided at a railway crossing in the Savelovsky direction towards Dubna, two cars derailed. The cause of the incident was a truck that left on the way.
