Germany and the Netherlands are preparing a full unification of their land forces, Bloomberg reports, referring to the representative of the Royal Dutch Army, Major Mark Van de Beek. These troops will include three brigades, two of them are currently integrated into the German Armed Forces.
The third brigade, numbering three thousand soldiers, will be integrated into the German army in April. The final decision is currently being discussed by the Government of the Kingdom. Both countries are ready to start joint purchases of military equipment and coordination of military regulations.
The integration plan with the Bundeswehr does not include only the elite special forces of the Dutch Army Korps Commandotroepen.
