According to RIA Novosti with reference to the data of the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office, the incident in Balashikha occurred around 14.30 on February 13 on the Zarya railway platform.
"According to preliminary data, in Balashikha near Moscow, a stroller with a young child fell on the railway tracks in front of an approaching train", - the report says.
Seeing a stroller on the tracks, the driver applied emergency braking and managed to stop the train, preventing a hit on a child.
According to the portal ya62.ru, there was a four-month-old baby in the stroller. His mother, who was standing with a group of children, was distracted, and the stroller with the baby rolled away on the way.
"The driver of the electric train noticed this and applied emergency braking. The train stopped a few centimeters from the stroller", - the newspaper notes.
According to the Inbalashikha publication, the mother who noticed the movement of the stroller rushed after her child: she jumped down, managed to grab the baby just before the train and hid under the platform.
Now the circumstances of the incident are being studied by the supervisory authority. The prosecutor's office indicated that, if there are grounds, response measures will be taken.
