Nine more stations of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line have been put into operation. Among them are the metro stations "Maryina Roscha", "Rizhskaya", "Sokolniki", "Textilshchiki", "Pechatniki", "Nagatinsky Zaton", "Klenovy Boulevard", "Kashirskaya" and "Varshavskaya".
The Russian President congratulated Muscovites on the expansion of the transport interchange and thanked everyone who participated in the implementation of this project in a short time. The President noted that the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Metro Line has become the longest ring line in the world. Its length is 70 kilometers. In length, the Great Ring Line of the Moscow Metro has overtaken even the ring line of the Beijing Metro.
In total, the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line includes 31 stations and three electric depots, the message clarifies.
The report notes that the launch of the Big Ring Line will improve transport accessibility for residents of 34 districts of the capital with a population of over 3.3 million people. The launch of this ring line will also reduce the congestion of other branches of the Moscow metro.
