The head of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, Bolat Akchulakov, said that the jumps in world oil prices will largely be determined by the situation in Ukraine, but his country considers a fair price of $ 65 per barrel for itself.

"It all depends on how the situation will develop (in Ukraine). The only thing is that a fair corridor depends on each country. In the case of Kazakhstan, it should be more than $65 per barrel", - Akchulakov told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the CERAWeek International energy conference in Houston.

As Kommersant notes, on January 11, Akchulakov announced Kazakhstan's readiness to supply up to 6 million tons of oil to Germany, and on January 29, Transneft received the country's application for pumping oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline. In addition, additional pipeline capacities were reserved for pumping in the amount of 1.2 million tons in 2023.

On the eve of Bloomberg reported that Kazakhstan is trying to increase the volume of oil produced to meet the demands of European countries. At the same time, oil production in Kazakhstan fell to 100 thousand barrels per day by the end of February. Sources of the publication also told about the active search for alternative supply routes.
