"We ask you to instruct the authorized bodies to conduct an inspection and bring Liya Medzhidovna Akhedzhakova to criminal responsibility for committing crimes under Article 275 ("High Treason"), 280.3 ("Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation") and 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Incitement of hatred or enmity")", - it says in circulation (quoted by TASS).
Borodin also called for Akhedzhakova to be included in the register of foreign agents, to be deprived of her awards and honorary titles. He argued his request by criticizing the policy of the authorities and the special operation on the part of the People's Artist. The appeal claims that Akhedzhakova lost her job at the Moscow Sovremennik theater because of her pro-Ukrainian position and statements, while living in Russia. It is noted that she regularly gives interviews to Ukrainian channels, openly wishes Ukraine victory, and in social networks reported that she donated money to the Ukrainian army and urged colleagues to follow her example.
Leah Akhedzhakova was born in 1938 in Dnepropetrovsk. In 1977, she was accepted into the creative team of the Sovremennik Theater. She has also played in films and is known to the Russian audience for roles in Eldar Ryazanov's films, among which "Irony of Fate", "Office Romance", "Garage". Earlier it became known that Akhedzhakova wrote a letter of resignation from the theater on her own after she had no roles left. On April 5, 2023, she ceased to be an actress of Sovremennik.
Earlier, Borodin repeatedly appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to check actors and musicians for discrediting the army and financing the Armed Forces. In particular, he asked Krasnov to check on Diana Arbenina, Valery Meladze, Danila Kozlovsky.
