The situation with the mutiny of the Wagner PMCs was expected to be taken advantage of by Russia's opponents.
Information began to spread on social networks that employees of Russian law enforcement agencies and entire units of the Russian army were actively switching to the side of the rebels. So, for example, a few hours ago, information appeared that the 217th parachute regiment of the 98 Airborne Division of the Airborne Forces from Ivanov went over to Prigozhin's side in full force.
In this regard, the division posted a refutation on its channel, in which, among other things, it says: «The Ukrainian CIPSO (psychological operations center) began to disperse fakes about the transition to the side of Prigozhin of the 217th parachute regiment of the 98th airborne division of the Airborne Forces. And it would be fine if there were inconsistencies in the form of clothing and weapons.
Since the beginning of the two thousandth years, airborne units have been armed with AK-74M, but more recently — AK-12. Here on the frames are old—style AK-74s, long since decommissioned.
Only the units of the 98th division are now on the front line and counterattacking, and they definitely don't have time to sit in offices with yellow walls».
