According to the deputy, some participants of the PMCs who went to Belarus may also go to Africa.
«PMCs „Wagner is a legal entity that provides military assistance in African countries. They are still working there“, — Lenta.ru quotes the deputy as saying.
Chepa added that after the «June events», the structure of the PMCs and the personal composition of the organization's leadership may change. But the structures themselves will continue their work.
They, the deputy noted, will continue to fulfill previously reached agreements on work in African countries.
The deputy believes that some of the «Wagnerians» who were transferred to Belarus after the military mutiny can recover in Africa — in particular, in the CAR.
On June 28, it became known that the CAR authorities do not intend to refuse military assistance from Russian structures. An aide to the president of this country said that if Wagner leaves, the CAR authorities will accept any other military structure supported by the Russian leadership, regardless of its name.
The military mutiny of the PMC «Wagner» became known on the night of June 23-24. The founder of the PMCs, Yevgeny Prigozhin, accused the Russian Defense Ministry of hitting the rear camps of the PMCs and announced a «march of justice» on Moscow. For this, the FSB opened a case of armed rebellion against Prigozhin. It was possible to stop the tank columns of the PMCs only by the evening of June 24, when they were 200 km from Moscow. The negotiations were attended by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who agreed to receive the «Wagnerians» on his territory.
