Security on The Porokhovsky cemetery is open around the clock. There, a security booth with video surveillance was installed for «people in uniform». Electricity was even brought to the gatehouse.
A representative of the administration of the Porokhovsky cemetery, who wished to remain anonymous, told Novye Izvestia that the booth «was simply brought and installed in the courtyard.»
«This is not the property of the cemetery. We are not responsible for it. It was probably coordinated with someone — through the „head“, but definitely not through the cemetery management. We don't know who pays for all this. Apparently, relatives», — the source told Novye Izvestia.
According to one version, it was necessary to strengthen security measures after the «Prigozhin's sledgehammer» disappeared from the grave of Yevgeny Prigozhin, and then the violin. The symbols significant for the PMCs were brought by visitors, but after a day the things disappeared.
The violin, we recall, is one of the symbols of the «musicians» of the PMCs. As for the sledgehammer, it became a shock Russian brand with the filing of Prigozhin personally. It was shaken by politicians and officials in order to «beat the crap out». A human-sized sledgehammer with the inscription «In case of important negotiations» was found during searches in Prigozhin's house in St. Petersburg. The first video where this weapon is present reaches us in 2017: three unknown men torture a man in civilian clothes on it — there was no confirmation that these were «Wagnerians». The second video with a sledgehammer flew in 2022 — it shows the execution of former prisoner Yevgeny Nuzhin, who escaped from Wagner into captivity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and declared his desire to fight on the side of Ukraine.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, who died together with his comrades in a plane crash on August 24, was secretly buried on August 29 at Porokhovsky cemetery in St. Petersburg. The hero of Russia Prigozhin was buried without honors, an orchestra, a military guard and shots up.
