Discrediting the Army

The State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation supported amendments to the Administrative Code and the Criminal Code, providing for tougher penalties for discrediting volunteers and other participants in a special operation up to 15 years in prison and fines up to 5 million rubles.

The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, was approached by the Foundation for the Protection of the National Historical Heritage.

On January 18, a meeting of the Tagansky District Court will be held.
