Extremism and terrorism

Sofia Sapega, a Russian woman convicted in Belarus, was included in the register of persons involved in terrorist activities in this country. This is stated in the documents on the website of the Belarusian KGB.

Denis Popov, a resident of the city of Uglich in the Yaroslavl region, was found guilty of attempted terrorist attack (for attempting to set fire to the military enlistment office) and extremist activity on the Internet. The court sentenced the accused to eight years in prison.

The FSB Public Relations Center (PSC) reported the detention in Rostov-on-Don of a participant of the Ukrainian nationalist movement "Azov"*. According to the intelligence service, the detainee arrived in Russia under the guise of a refugee.
