US scientist Klesov: news about Russia and Ukraine is given absolutely one-sidedly

Russian-American scientist, biologist, genetic chemist Anatoly Klyosov, in an interview with journalist Andrei Uglanov on his YouTube channel, spoke about how the situation between Russia and Ukraine looks from the United States.

“I will not give my assessment, but as a hint I will note that when the Russian Federation recognized the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, my wife and I were drinking champagne. You can't go any further.

But now the question is, how does this situation look from the USA?

In the most ordinary iPhone, we have such a service, or something, called "News". There is a series of links to articles in magazines and newspapers, to a variety of sources of information, with videos and so on. You can scroll through them one by one, these links are pictures.

If you like something, you click on what you want to see, that very article in a magazine or newspaper, or a video already opens.

So, always in the morning, out of habit, I look through 100 - 200 messages that are coming. Usually, for these 100-200 mentions of Russia happens, well, once or twice, as well as about Ukraine.

That is, it was necessary that there was something extraordinary for such a mention of Russia to appear. It has always been so.

And so, when recent events began, you open it - as I opened it today - and the very first photo and article is about the situation between Russia and Ukraine. And then they go in series. Just such galleries. In a row - ten to twenty messages, then there is some kind of light interruption with something local, and then again dozens of messages about Russia and Ukraine.

So there is a lot of information out there right now. The question, of course, is what kind of information it is.

Since I watch Russian channels, and American, and even a little bit Ukrainian - YouTube gives the whole palette, whatever you like, I have an idea of what is happening.

And I can say, quite definitely, that the information is absolutely one-sided, amazingly one-sided ...

For example, there are a lot of interviews, for example, with people on the street, how do you live here, and so on, and everyone, as one whom the correspondents meet, judging by the series of these news, - everyone, as one, hates Russians, they say, “we we will win” - well, that is, they are, and information about any other opinion is simply not skipped.

And I don't think that this is some kind of Washington Regional Committee, well, there is no such thing, there is no central body, such as the Politburo, that would regulate this. These are actually editors of publications, they keep their nose to the wind, they know which way the wind is blowing, and they know that if at least some positive information slips in relation to Russia, they will be in trouble.

What are the problems? No one will fire them from work. So, what about the investors? Investors simply will not give money to this magazine and newspaper, so self-regulation is going on quite clearly.

Example. For the past three days, this story about Serpent's Island has been going on. About how a Russian warship approached Zmeiny Island and announced that it was a Russian warship, give up, and the border guards, either one or all, in unison, obscenely sent this same ship.

Moreover, the news is given, in English translation, what kind of obscenities they sent him.

And, of course, judging by the description, the Russian ship could not stand this and they killed everyone. All died heroically, all thirteen people who were on this island. And then it became known that President Zelensky spoke and said that they were heroes and each of them received the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously. And this news is on all channels for three days in a row.

But I know the situation, I also watch Russian news. Yes, they can tell me that Ukraine has the truth, but the fact is that, unlike these reports, Russian news gives a whole palette, they constantly give live broadcasts, they show these very prisoners, as it turned out, there were 82 of them on the island, not one did not die, all were taken prisoner, or rather, they laid down their arms and surrendered. And I watch footage of how they call their parents, how dry rations are distributed to them, and how they listen on TV, how they are already buried in fact and receive the title of heroes.

I gave this example in a conversation with an enlightened European. He said, I do not believe the Russian information, this is all a production, these 82 people were artists, and the heroes died the death of the brave. And it's impossible to convince.

... Hostilities began eight years ago, in 2014. And it was by no means started by the Russian side. Everyone already knows the chain of actions: Maidan, Crimea, Donbass and other things. That is, in fact, everything went to this for eight years. And there is nothing surprising in this. It was a situation that had to end like this."
