From April 15, every driver entering the city will be checked for passes at each of the 160 entrances to the capital. If the driver and passengers do not have an electronic pass, you will have to pay a fine of 5 thousand rubles. For motorists arriving from other regions, entry is restricted. This will not affect cars with license plates of the Moscow Region. To strengthen control along with traffic cops, special forces outfits will patrol the entrances to the city. The number of lanes at the entrances will also be reduced. In some places they will be left one in each direction, on part of the roads motorists will pass in two or three lanes, writes TASS , citing a source in law enforcement.
Electronic passes for moving around the city in their own cars began to be issued from Monday. For employees of enterprises who need a pass in order to get to work, the validity of the pass is extended until the end of April. For city residents who need a pass to go to the store or to the cottage, they will be issued one-time passes for a round-trip trip. It is noted that such passes will be issued no more than twice a week. Electronic passes will be needed for all passengers in the car, including if the trip is by taxi.
Muscovites were also warned of scammers who decided to make money on a pandemic and offered to issue an electronic pass online. The authorities reminded that responsibility for fraudulent documents threatens both the person who offered such services and the one who used these services.
