The new song of the legendary British group is called Living In A Ghost Town - Life in a Ghost Town, and it is dedicated to the quarantine, in circumstances of which the band members completed the recording. The published single was the band's first release since 2012.

Musicians began to create this song a year ago, but ended it already during the period of isolation measures, the BBC website reports .

“Life was beautiful, but now we're all in a lockdown. I'm like a ghost living in a ghost town,” Mick Jagger sings.

The video for the new composition shows the empty cities - Los Angeles, Tokyo, Toronto, and especially London, where the song was recorded. The camera pans along the empty streets of ghost towns, their squares, escalators in the subway, passages, embankments, bridges. Not a single person is visible in the frame.

The clip on the official Rolling Stones YouTube channel has already gained more than 850 thousand views.

In an interview with Apple Music, Mick Jagger said that the group expects to record several more songs in isolation, adding that the band’s musicians still don’t understand when they can continue their world tour.

The British band released their last album "A Bigger Bang" in 2005.

On April 19, it was reported that the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II considered it inappropriate to hold fireworks in honor of her 94th birthday during the coronavirus pandemic and canceled it. The salute in honor of the birthday of the British Queen is traditionally given every year on April 21 and is an integral part of the festivities. He has not been canceled even once in all 68 years of her reign.

In early April, it was reported that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who became the first leader in the leading countries of the world to be infected with coronavirus, was cured. It was reported that his state of health even required the premier to be in intensive care and oxygen treatment. A little earlier, the son of the Queen of Great Britain, Prince Charles, whose test for coronavirus gave a positive result, after which he was on self-isolation for seven days, quit quarantine.

At the moment, in the UK there are more than 138 thousand infections with coronavirus infection, about 19 thousand people have died.
