Boris Titov joined in the salvation of domestic show business

Since the organization of public events remains banned in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, Boris Titov, the Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs, announced the need to support domestic show business by allowing corporate parties.

In the nearest future Titov intends to appeal to the head of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) with this proposal.

The business ombudsman said this during an online conference on the problems of the entertainment industry, reports TASS.

Titov pointed out the fact that each highly paid artist, earning himself, also provides dozens of employees of staff involved in the entertainment industry with salaries.

“If another three months passes in the regime of a complete ban on mass events, few system players will remain in this market. How can I help? It is necessary to resolve closed so-called “off-the-shelf” events as soon as possible, that is, corporate events in compliance with all sanitary norms", - said the business ombudsman.

Titov also supported the idea of one of the ticket operators, who proposed not to return money to the viewers for purchased tickets for those events that can be transferred. This, at the suggestion of the initiator, can be done by analogy with air tickets - introduce vouchers with a delay of six months.

The business ombudsman plans to promote initiatives through the institution of community commissioners. According to his idea, a separate ombudsman for entertainment events should appear in Russia, which, according to Titov, will become the basis for combining the industry and the first stage of such a process.

The conference was attended by the leader of Leningrad, Sergei Shnurov, who became a member of the Growth Party. According to him, show business before "never declared itself as an industry."

“We need a union, I would call it the Association of Independent Cultural Events. And we have someone to defend. The show business is very multiplicative, it gives work to a lot of people - and not only creative professions, but many more - to technicians and drivers, both waiters and cloakroom attendants. I hope that the common misfortune will help to overcome the contradictions, "said Shnurov.

As previously reported by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, the ban on holding mass events will be lifted only at the last stage of exit from restrictive measures.

Earlier, the idea that instead of making life easier in quarantine for those who still do nothing, the state should help the artists without income, expressed the husband of the singer Natasha Koroleva, bodybuilder and dancer Tarzan (Sergey Glushko). He complained that the quarantine deprived him of his family’s earnings as well, asking the authorities to help not pensioners who already receive their pensions without leaving their homes, but artists who have not yet been able to get to work.

Producer Joseph Prigozhin stood up for Tarzan, who fell upon the outrage of Russian society. After that, Joseph Prigozhin announced the problem of lack of money among Russian pop stars who were in distress, the Communists of Russia party decided to provide him and his wife, singer Valeria, humanitarian aid in the form of quick-cooking noodles "Doshirak" by sending him a pack of vermicelli. In order not to "starve to death", party members advised the producer "to go to work at a factory or a construction site", and his wife Valeria - "to get a job as a cleaner".
