The shooter was allegedly in an inadequate state. He hit a special police force's officer in the leg and was wounded by return fire.
The shooter turned out to be Dmitry Pavlov, the former director of the Hammer and Sickle factory, as well as the former head of the mechanical engineering development program department of the Industrial Enterprise Program Coordination Department of the Science and Industrial Policy Department, and the mechanical engineering enterprise development program department head in the same Department. At present, Pavlov has no official work, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.
According to Vesti.ru, the shooter was a senior at home. It is also said that he recently divorced his wife.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Pavlov on the attempted murder and hooliganism.
