Petr Verzilov, a member of the Voyna art group and Pussy Riot, was interrogated as a witness in the case of organizing riots and using violence against a government official. The activist refused to testify.

- In the morning he was interrogated under Art. 212 of the Criminal Code ("organization of riots") and 318 ("use of violence against a representative of the authorities") as a witness. He refused to testify, referring to Art. 51 of the constitution, which allows not to incriminate oneself, - TASS quotes the words of the lawyer of the Agora human rights organization Leonid Solovyov, representing Verzilov’s interests.

In this case, a search was held in the ART4 museum, where an exhibition of Oleg Navalny and the art group War was held, and at the house of its owner, Igor Markin.

Earlier, the head of the Agora Pavel Chikov said that Verzilov faces administrative arrest for petty hooliganism.

"The police are expected to draw up a protocol on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to her, the punishment is up to 15 days of arrest", - Chikov said.

Before this, it was reported that Pyotr Verzilov was detained as part of verification activities on extremism. The employees of the E-Сenter came to his house, but the activist did not open the door. This is why it had to be broken.

On Sunday morning, he informed colleagues from the publication that the door to his apartment was being broken. After that, he stopped communicating.
