According to Skolkovo Realty, in May, demand for facilities on Novorizhskoye Highway was 52% higher than in the same period of the previous year. In 2019, the demand for houses in this direction was noted at the level of 2.81%.
This year, the situation on the home market in the suburbs has changed dramatically. From February to May, there was a continuous increase in demand - a positive adjustment was 62.54%. The number of requests in May grew 2.5 times - this is the highest figure since 2015.
For the acquisition of houses located on Rublyovo-Uspenskoye highway, the peak fell at the beginning of spring. Whereas last year, demand growth began in March, then in 2020 it was noted a month earlier. The number of calls jumped by 50.18%.
"According to our forecasts, the second half of the summer in the premium suburban real estate market will be calm. Given the gradual economic recovery, a second wave of rush demand for elite properties is possible in the fall”, - said Boris Boriskin, the head of Skolkovo Realty.
It should be noted that not only in the elite market there is an increase in demand. Realtors noted a sharp jump in demand for any suburban real estate in June. Compared with May figures, demand grew by 36%. However, there are still some preferences among buyers - houses must be certainly well-maintained, with decent repairs, so that you do not need to invest in the purchase, and immediately enter the house after the transaction is concluded.
By the way, Moscow Credit Bank predicted that it is the real estate market that will become the driver of the economic recovery that is affected by the epidemic.
