The average daily decline in the turnover of the service sector - in completely closed industries - in Moscow may reach 60% during the declared non-working days from October 28 to November 7.

RIA Novosti was informed about this in the Analytical Center. Recall that from today, the capital has gone into lockdown due to the worsening situation with the coronavirus.

Given the short-term nature of the restrictive measures, experts pointed out, shoppers are expected to make purchases once they are canceled. In the period of the last lockdown, we recall that there was an increase in online sales. Analysts suggest that online stores will show an increase in turnover this time too.

By the way, on the eve of the non-working days, Muscovites began to actively buy goods for the home, garden and renovation. In addition, the demand for game consoles, kitchen and smart appliances has increased, according to the results of a study conducted by Tinkoff CoronaIndex and AliExpress, cited by RIA Novosti.

Let us remind you that from today a lockdown has been introduced in the city by the decision of the Moscow authorities. Shopping centers, beauty salons, fitness centers, as well as other service enterprises have closed in Moscow. Cafes and restaurants will be open this week for takeaways only. Dentists will only be able to provide emergency care. Medical organizations will continue planned and emergency care.
