The Family Code will be amended to define “traditional values”

As Vedomosti writes, only those relationships between parents, but also parent-child relationships, can be attributed to traditional values. The authors of the document point out that these relationships are hierarchical and in them "the authority of parents for the purposes of raising children is of enduring importance".

On November 9, we recall, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree "On the approval of the foundations of state policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values." The decree says that moral guidelines are called traditional values, which form the worldview of Russians and are passed down from generation to generation. It is indicated that traditional values underlie the all-Russian civic identity and cultural unity. The important role of religions is noted, and special attention is paid to Orthodoxy.
