Natural fire near Ryazan spreaded to military warehouses

The fact that in the area of the village of Shelemishevo, Skopinsky district in the south of the Ryazan region, military warehouses caught fire, reports the telegram channel "112". As Rambler notes, some time ago in this area a fell was made - the burning of vegetation for crops. On the grass, the fire spread to the warehouses of a nearby rocket and artillery unit.

The situation is complicated by the fact that by now the military unit has been disbanded, and the warehouses are almost abandoned. Local authorities have announced the evacuation of the population of nearby villages to avoid accidents from scattering decommissioned ammunition remaining in the warehouse. So far, there is no information about the victims of the incident. "According to local residents, they hear explosions of ammunition", the Telegram channel 112 notes.

Earlier on the same day, a fire also occurred in the Yalta sanatorium of the Ministry of Defense in Crimea, the Izvestia newspaper notes . The fire covered 1200 square meters. Initially, the cladding between the eighth floor and the roof caught fire. According to preliminary data, cause of fire became a short circuit. As a result of this emergency, no one was hurt.

In August 2019, a fire broke out and explosions were heard in a warehouse with artillery ammunition of the Logistics Center of the Central Military District in the Achinsk district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. As a result of the incident, 16 thousand people were evacuated, 39 were injured, one died, fragments from shells scattered 15 kilometers, the blast wave knocked out windows in residential buildings, fire equipment on the territory of the military unit was destroyed by fire.
