The construction of the first strategic stealth-bombarder started in Russia
A prototype of a strategic stealth bomber will be built as part of the Advanced Aviation Complex for Long-Range Aviation program (AACLRA).
- production of the airframe of the first machine will take one of the aircraft plants in the structure of the United Aircraft Corporation, the development of design documentation is complete, begin the deliveries of materials - leads TASS words of his source in the military-industrial complex.
According to another interlocutor of the agency, an airplane cockpit is already being manufactured, and the final assembly of the entire aircraft should be completed next year.
It should be noted that in December the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Alexey Krivoruchko stated that the outline design of the aircraft had already been approved, and PJSC Tupolev started developing the design documentation. In addition, the deputy head of the department noted that the creation of parts and components of prototypes of the aircraft has already begun. At the beginning of 2020, Krivoruchko said the first engine of the AACLRA fighter would be handed over to bench tests.
It was previously reported that the prototype of a new generation bomber, which will replace the basis of the Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bomber aircraft, should take off in 2025. However, it was suggested that the work on the AACLRA project could be delayed, and it would take off not at all before 2030.
Recall that in spite of the creation of a modern bomber, in 2015, with the submission of the Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu, in 2015 they launched the program of resuming production and modernization of the supersonic strategic Tu-160 White Swan.
However, the rapid revival of Tu-160 production did not happen, as aircraft manufacturers faced serious problems. As a result, only three of the four unfinished vehicles that remained from the time of the USSR were hardly lifted into the air.
