This weekend, one of the districts of the capital became the center of protests against inadequate heating bills, which Muscovites received this month. Instead of the expected 4 thousand rubles residents of the capital saw 20 thousand. The protesters gathered in Koptevo - about 500 people came to the rally.

According to one of the protesters, the chairman of the council of the house, Elena Volkova, on February 10, residents of the district received new utility bills on the Gosuslugi website. Instead of the expected 4-5 thousand rubles, the amount was indicated several times higher. The reason for the recalculation was the allegedly early start of the heating season last year. "Underpayment" was issued by one invoice.

“The prosecutor’s office began investigating the activities of both the management company and MOEK PJSC, since it was they who made such an adjustment to the accounts, as they said, according to current consumption”, - Dozhd quoted a participant in the rally as saying.

Volkova said that during the protests, they managed to collect another 900 signatures under the appeal, in addition to those collected during the door-to-door tour. She claims that inadequate bills for heating were sent not only to residents of Koptevo, but also to neighboring districts: Golovinsky and Voikovsky.

Signatures for appeals to the supervisory authorities, according to the protester, are collected in order to find out who is behind the accrual - the management company or PJSC MOEK. Volkova said that the management company expressed bewilderment at “these huge bills,” so local residents are suspected of inadequate recalculation of MOEK PJSC.
