That was the first role of the ballerina Lyudmila Savelyeva, a Leningrad girl who was born in 1942 during the Leningrad blockade. And she did an excellent job with this very difficult role.

World fame promised so much ... Savelyeva traveled to different countries, presenting the film "War and Peace", received an Oscar in Hollywood. She began to be invited to international projects, in 1970 she played in De Sica's film "Sunflowers" with Marcello Mastroianni himself.

And then ... The language does not turn to say the banal "something went wrong." But only 20 film roles have been played in her entire life, this, we admit, is very small for her talent and with such a brilliant start.

Willingly or involuntarily, Savelieva has her own theme in the cinema. This topic is women's unsettledness, the scrapping of fate. It sounds both in the film "Running", and in Sergei Solovyov's film "Alien White and Pockmarked", where the despair and loss of the former actress Ksenia Nikolaevna, smoking long cigarettes, are wonderfully accurately played by Savelyeva, and even in a short episode in the film "Success" , where her heroine is the ex-wife of a director eager for a career.
