Director Anton Dyakov was invited to join the US Film Academy

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited Russian director Anton Dyakov to join its roster - 397 artists from 53 countries received such an invitation this year, including 71 Oscar nominees and 15 winners.
Anton Dyakov - director of the cartoon "Boxing Ballet". It was nominated for this year's Oscar for Best Short Film but did not win. "Oscar" went to the Spaniard Alberto Melligo for "Wiper".
By the way, the director could not get an American visa to get to the Oscar ceremony. He himself said that now is not the time to “wine about the fact that they don’t let me go to the Oscars when many people are in extreme conditions.”
