The ruble has sharply strengthened against the dollar and the euro, follows from the data of the Moscow Exchange.
At the beginning of trading on May 4, the Russian national currency for the first time since June 2020 fell below 69 rubles - to 68.63 rubles. The euro fell to 72 rubles.
At 10:05 Moscow time, the dollar fell by 1.46 rubles to 69.50 rubles. The euro fell by 1.31 rubles - up to 73.34 rubles.
Recall that on April 29, the Russian ruble updated the low of November last year, trading at less than 71 rubles per dollar.
