Cocaine, cocaethylene and cannabis were found in the organism of Honored Artist Mikhail Yefremov, who had caused a fatal accident in the center of the capital.
The presence of drugs was confirmed by a chemical toxicological examination, REN-TV reports citing the results of the study. It was previously noted that Yefremov was also very drunk when he got behind the wheel and provoked an accident. After the incident, doctors recorded that his pupils were very dilated and sluggishly reacted to light. He was heavily drunk with alcohol. It was difficult for the artist to coordinate his movements. No visible traces of drug injections were found on the artist’s body.
An accident in the center of the capital occurred late on Monday. Yefremov at the wheel flew into the oncoming lane and collided with a Lada car. The car driver suffered multiple injuries and died on Tuesday in hospital from injuries. The criminal case was re-qualified to a more serious one after the death of the victim. Now, experts say, Yefremov will not be able to simply pay off the relatives of the deceased, he faces up to 12 years in prison. Yefremov himself confessed to his deed. The court may mitigate his sentence after recognition.
