On the central square of Bishkek, supporters of the former President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Aatambayev, opposition leader Omurbek Babanov clashed with the support group of ex-deputy Sadyr Zhaparov, staging shooting.

According to Kommersant with reference to the 24.kg portal, the scuffle between the protesters took place at the moment when Almazbek Atambayev was performing on the stage. Bottles flew towards him. Supporters of the deputy Japarov started a fight, and shooting began between the protesters.

According to the Red Crescent volunteers, there is no evidence of serious injuries among the participants in the riots. The chairman of the Ata-Meken party, Tilek Toktogaziev, was wounded.

Mass riots in Kyrgyzstan began on October 5 - after the announcement of the results of the parliamentary elections. The protesters, outraged by the falsification of polling stations in favor of the ruling party, took to the streets to protest. They occupied the Bishkek mayor's office, freed political prisoners and announced the formation of a new government.

Against the backdrop of incessant demonstrations and street clashes, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov dismissed the government, fired the prime minister, dismissed the chairman of the State Committee for National Security and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. In addition, he declared his readiness to leave his post, but not immediately, but "after the normalization of the situation in the country".

According to media reports, now the riots in the central square of the republican capital have stopped. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov introduced a state of emergency on the territory of Bishkek from October 9 at 20:00 local time, which corresponds to 17:00 Moscow time. This regime will be in effect until October 21. In the near future, troops will be sent to the Kyrgyz capital to maintain order.
