An explosion occurred near the village of Maiskoye near Dzhankoy in Crimea, followed by a fire at a transformer substation and an ammunition depot. The head of the region Sergei Aksenov advanced to the place of the fire.

- I left for the village of Mayskoye, Dzhankoy district. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated. I will inform you as the data becomes available,” Aksenov wrote .

According to RIA Novosti, the substation caught fire "after a strong bang." Mash writes that the incident happened around 6 am, local residents are scheduled to be evacuated.

As the Kryminform telegram channel clarifies, two emergency situations occurred in the Dzhankoy district in the morning: a fire at a transformer substation in Dzhankoy and a detonation at an ammunition depot in the village of Maiskoye.

Later, the information about the fire at the ammunition depot was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense. According to the department, there were no serious injuries, the causes of the fire are being investigated.

The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that two people were injured in the fire, nothing threatens their lives.
