The Ministry of Defense informed about the cause of the crash of IL-76 in the Ryazan region

According to the agency, at the time of contact with the ground, the plane was partially destroyed. The injured were sent to a medical facility, but it is not specified how many people were hospitalized.

According to media reports, the Il-76 was heading from Orenburg to Belgorod. In Ryazan, he was forced to land for refueling. The board crashed near the Mikhailovsky highway. The Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that there was no destruction on the ground. It is also indicated that one of those who was hospitalized is currently sent to the intensive care unit. Doctors assess his condition as serious.

Telegram channels write that the tragedy happened immediately after takeoff: the plane caught fire while still in the air. The same is confirmed by REN TV.
