About two hundred miners had to be evacuated from the Yuzhnaya-2 mine in the Sverdlovsk region due to smoke. According to preliminary data, no victims.

- In the shaft of the Yuzhnaya-2 mine in the Sverdlovsk region, there was smoke at an elevation of 700 m. About 200 miners were brought to the surface, - Interfax quotes the words of an informed source.

“There was no big evacuation, the workers were not allowed to descend, there are only 175 of them, the cause of the incident is being investigated”, - the representatives of the Unified duty dispatch service said.

Let us recall that Yuzhnaya-2 is part of the Vysokogorsk mining and processing plant, which is considered the oldest mining and processing enterprise in the Urals and one of the largest in the region.
