The Ukrainian military shelled a checkpoint in the village of Krupets, Kursk region, in the morning. This was announced by the governor of the region Roman Starovoit.

The incident happened around 8:00 am on Friday. They shot at border guards in the Rylsky district, the governor said.

The Russian military struck back. The enemy firing points were suppressed, he noted. None of the people were hurt.

It's worth reminding that since the beginning of the military special operation, the Russian regions, which are located on the border with Ukraine, have been shelled more than once. This week, the Ukrainian military fired shells at the villages of Nekhoteyevka, Zhuravlyovka and Golovchino in the Belgorod region, fired at a checkpoint in the Bryansk region, and shot down several drones over Russia. On the eve of April 26, a humanitarian convoy, which was returning from the Kharkiv region, came under attack. She was shelled near Belgorod.
