SuperJet 100 from Nizhnevartovsk with a failed engine urgently landed in Volgograd

As RBC reports with reference to the press service of the company, the incident occurred in the morning of November 30.

“The plane of the Azimut airline, which was flying from Nizhnevartovsk to Mineralnye Vody on November 30, 2021, made an emergency landing at the Volgograd International Airport for technical reasons. The landing was safely completed at 7:53”, - the message says.

According to Interfax, this is an emergency situation with the Superjet 100. There were 75 passengers on board. They are temporarily housed in the terminal building. A reserve board from Rostov-on-Don should arrive for them.

Earlier, aircraft incidents of this brand were repeatedly recorded. So, on June 25 this year, the SSJ-100 aircraft of the Azimut airlines, on board of which there were 91 people, made an emergency landing at the Krasnodar airport after flying to St. Petersburg. The reason for this was the failure of the gas turbine. In the morning, the plane took off from Krasnodar, but due to malfunctions, he was forced to return to the airport. The landing took place in normal mode, the board landed at 09:52. As a result of the incident, no one was hurt.

On May 5, 2019, the SSJ-100 liner crashed after lightning struck the hull. The plane made an emergency landing at Sheremetyevo and caught fire, killing 40 passengers and one crew member. Russian security officials, without waiting for the results of all technical examinations, called the only culprit in the incident experienced pilot Denis Evdokimov, who survived the accident, who allegedly provoked the crash by violations of safety rules and the operation of air transport. The pilot offered condolences to the victims, saying that during landing the plane did not obey the steering wheel, which was confirmed by the data of the "black boxes". However, the investigation believes that the cause of the plane crash and the death of people was the violation of the landing rules.
