Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Yevgeny Ivanov said that "there are no winners in the game of destruction", explaining why Russia does not consider it rational to announce mirror measures in response to the ban on entry of Russian citizens to a number of EU states.

“As for the possible retaliatory actions of the Russian side, we believe that there are no winners in the game of destroying international relations,” RIA Novosti quoted Ivanov as saying.

The Foreign Ministry emphasizes that it is irrational to introduce mirror restrictions "in connection with the ongoing petty attempts of the Baltic countries and neighbors who have joined them to prove that a trip to the "sacred" European Union is a privilege for a narrow circle of "good Russians"". In this situation, the losers are people, regardless of their citizenship, who lose the opportunity to meet with relatives, go to another country for treatment or study.

Recall that from September 19, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland closed their borders to Russians. Only those who go to visit close relatives or for humanitarian purposes can cross it. The restrictions also do not apply to drivers carrying goods.
