Svetlana Tikhanovskaya urged to vote for her again

Presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya appealed to the residents of Belarus. She called on local authorities - city mayors - to start dialogue with citizens to prevent violence in the streets. - Dear friends, over the past few days we have done the impossible. A few months ago, no one believed that the Belarusians could unite. But it happened. We went to the polling stations and made our choice, legally, peacefully and with dignity. I want to say thank you to those people who were with me, my team, the headquarters of Valery Tsepkalo and Victor Babariko. I want to tell every person, every voter who voted for me, for the changes in our country. And we, supporters of change, are the majority. There is documentary evidence of this, copies of the minutes.

Where the commissions counted the votes honestly, my support ranged from 60 to 70 percent, and in Novaya Borovaya - 90%. The Belarusians will never want to live with the previous government again, the majority does not believe in HIS victory.

We have always said that we must defend our choice only by peaceful, non-violent methods, and the authorities turned the peaceful exit of citizens into the streets into a bloody massacre. The situation is critical. I look with pain at what is happening in our country in recent days. For me and for all supporters of change, human life is the most valuable thing. We need to stop violence on the streets of Belarusian cities.

I call on the authorities to stop it and start a dialogue. I ask the mayors of all cities to organize peaceful meetings on August 15 and 16 in each city.

New actions appear on the streets of our cities - chains of solidarity between women and flowers, absolutely peaceful, not belligerent. They show that we are Belarusians, absolutely peaceful, not belligerent people, and we are against violence. I thank the employees who refused to obey criminal orders against their citizens. I want to thank everyone who was not afraid and went on strike. Thanks to the workers of BMZ, MAZ, electrical engineering plant, IT companies SPVT and other teams who joined. Let's defend our choice together!
