Question of the day: why don't Russian diplomats call the Taliban * terrorists?

Comments by Russian officials on the situation in Afghanistan give the full impression that the Taliban are not terrorists and are not banned in Russia.

Russian media and social networks have long expressed, to put it mildly, bewilderment in connection with the schizophrenic behavior of domestic diplomats and other officials in relation to the Taliban movement, any mention of which, at the direction of the authorities, should be accompanied by a wild reference: “a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation ". Otherwise, the media will face huge fines. But if this is so, then why exactly do the officials not make such references?

For example, the Russian ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov , who in his numerous speeches praised the alleged, apparently Taliban terrorists so much that the impression was created that they were the first allies of Russia in the whole world. For example, here are Zhirnov's words about how Taliban friends care about Russian diplomats:

“Now we are guarded by the Taliban, a large detachment. They made a very good impression on us, adequate men, well armed, stood along the outer perimeter of the embassy so that no one could penetrate us - no terrorist, no crazy ... "

At the same time, referring to the Taliban, the ambassador never even hinted that they were terrorists and were banned in the Russian Federation. In this connection, Novye Izvestia is asking the competent authorities to somehow clarify the situation. What if the ambassador and other officials are also fined for this, but the people do not know anything about it? The people are confused!
