Delegations of Poland and the Baltic States left the hall during a speech by Valentina Matvienko

In her speech, Valentina Matvienko appealed to the authorities of all countries with a proposal for mutual recognition of vaccines against coronavirus and vaccination certificates. “It's time to stop using the pandemic as a political game, these unscrupulous methods of commercial competition in this area, and put the main human right at the forefront - the right to life and health,” she said.

Valentina Matvienko herself did not notice the departure of representatives of the countries of Poland and the Baltic states from the hall. According to her, if this was not done intentionally, then there is nothing to worry about. If this was done in a demonstrative manner, it only speaks of the lack of "diplomatic and political culture" among the representatives of these countries, RIA Novosti writes.

Valentina Matvienko also commented on the expediency of introducing an all-Russian lockdown. According to her, this will not lead to the proper result. In addition, the speaker of the Federation Council also questioned the effectiveness of mandatory vaccination.
