The swindlers were quick to take advantage of Russians' growing interest in investment. Attackers are trying to steal personal information and, probably, funds, under the guise of sites to check the reliability of brokers.

As explained to RIA Novosti in the National Association of Financial Planners, the network began to distribute advertising in which it is proposed to check the "broker on the Internet." When a user clicks on a link to, as suggested, enter the name of an intermediary company, the site provides information that the specified broker is allegedly on an “international black list”. For instructions on further actions, the user is prompted to leave a name and phone number.

"There are several types of fraud hiding behind such "black lists". For example, scammers may offer some kind of legal support to protect investor funds from an allegedly unscrupulous broker. Of course, such legal assistance is not free: as a rule, for the execution of several template and, often, illiterate documents, a very significant amount will be requested from a person", - said the deputy head of the association Daria Andrianova.

Attackers use psychological pressure, forcing a person to transfer their own funds to the so-called "safe accounts", which are actually owned by fraudsters.

"Do not lose sight of the fact that any such site collects a database of personal data of people who have brokerage accounts, and immediately indicating in which company the account is opened", - said Andrianova.

The fraudsters use the database themselves and sell them to their other "colleagues". Therefore, the victim of scammers is faced with a flurry of calls from various attackers, sellers of services or goods. Moreover, the number can be "under attack" for many months and even years.

Earlier it was reported that fraudsters began to deceive citizens, offering them to allegedly issue a deposit at a high percentage.
