The former Renault plant in Moscow was officially renamed Moskvich

These changes were made on June 3rd. The co-owner of the company is LLC "Technology Development Center" - it is controlled by the Moscow Property Department through JSC "Special Economic Zone" Zelenograd".

It's worth reminding that on May 16, an agreement was signed on the transfer of Russian assets to Renault. The share in AvtoVAZ was transferred to FSUE NAMI, the Renault Russia plant to Moscow. The terms of the deal provide for the possibility of repurchase with the ability to sell it within six years.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that the company will produce cars under the Moskvich brand, and in the future it plans to produce electric vehicles. Most of the team will be saved. Kamaz will become the main technological partner of the plant.
